"Too big to fail” was one of the major challenges to emerge from the financial crisis ten years ago and “resolution” was identified as the favored tool to solve it. Has it succeeded in doing so? In its fourth conference on the question of too big to fail and its various solutions, the Institute for Law and Finance will be devoting a day long conference to examining the unresolved questions of resolution on 23 April 2018 on the Westend Campus of Goethe University in Frankfurt. The conference will review the current state of the resolution tool, not only for banks, but also for insurance companies and central counter parties, with a particular focus on Europe.
