Frédéric HERVO, has been Director of the second Banking Supervision Directorate of the French Autorité de contrôle prudentiel et de résolution (ACPR) since March 2021. The second Banking Supervision Directorate is contributing to the supervision, within the Single Supervisory Mechanism, of the French cooperative banking groups (Crédit Agricole, BPCE and Crédit Mutuel) and of other credit institutions, including the CCP LCH.SA. This directorate is also responsible for the supervision of investment firms as well as payment and e-money institutions.
He was previously director for International Affairs of the ACPR, between 2016 and 2021, in charge of preparing the policy of ACPR in the area of prudential regulation and accounting issues for banks and insurers, as well as contributing to the implementation of international standards and European regulation at national level.
Before, he held several positions at Bank of France since 1992, including as Director of the Payment Systems and Market Infrastructures directorate of Bank of France from 2012 to 2016.
