Radek Urban joined the SRB after having served as Executive Director of Markets and Resolution in the Czech National Bank. In 2014, he was tasked with building the Resolution Directorate and the Financial Markets Guarantee System, part of the safety net that oversees the Deposit Guarantee Fund and the National Resolution Fund. Previously, he was Deputy Finance Minister responsible for financial markets legislation.
Mr. Urban also has extensive financial markets experience, having worked for a large European bank and in the financial markets directorate of the Czech National Bank.
Mr. Urban is a Czech national who graduated from the Prague School of Economics.
