Recruitment Process

Unlike the European Commission, the SRB does not employ Contract Agents. Instead, we run our own recruitment processes for Temporary Agents.

Steps of the selection procedure:

    Publication of Vacancy Notice

The SRB advertises all the open vacancies on our website.

    Submission of application from candidates

Candidates must apply through the EU CV Online system and complete their application before the deadline. Applications should be submitted in English.

    Admission to the selection procedure

The selection panel checks the eligibility of applications in reference to the eligibility criteria described in the vacancy notice

    Assessment of the eligible applications

he selection panel will assess the applications against the selection criteria (“essential” and “advantageous”) defined in the vacancy notice

    Invitation to assessment phase

The selection panel will establish a shortlist of candidates best matching the needs of the Agency and they will be invited to the assessment phase

    The assessment phase

The most suitable candidates for the post are invited to an assessment, which involves an interview with the selection panel, a written test and/or other tests in the area of expertise required for the specific profile

    Verification of documents and scrutiny

The candidate’s applications will be checked against supporting documents provided in order to confirm the accuracy and eligibility of the application.

    Reserve list

The selection panel will place the most suitable eligible candidates on a reserve list. Candidates should note that inclusion on the reserve list does not imply any entitlement to employment in the SRB. Prior to being offered a post, candidates on a reserve list may be required to undergo further evaluation by the SRB (e.g. further interview).

Candidates can check the validity of current SRB Reserve Lists.

    General Information:

The selection process may take some months to be completed. During this period, no information will be released.

In order to ensure equal treatment of all candidates, the selection panel will base its evaluation of the applications solely on the information provided by the candidates in their applications and cannot take into consideration other documents/information sent via email.

It is forbidden for candidates to make direct or indirect contact with the selection committee, or for anyone to do so on their behalf.
